4th Risø International Energy Conference 2009, 14 - 16 September 2009

At Risø DTU’s conference scientists will seek answers to the big question: How do we ensure a peak in CO2 emissions and secure future energy supply? And without preventing developing countries from achieving the same prosperity as we have.

That is the challenge the world is facing. The global energy situation is characterized by two overriding issues: Security of supply and climate change. The conference focuses on a wide range of topics such as renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency improvement, centralized and decentralized energy production, the future energy system including scenarios and energy policy.

The conference aims at identifying energy solutions on a local, regional and global level which can lead to a peak in CO2 emissions in 2015 – 2020 and a 50 % reduction before 2050.

Risø invites scientists, the energy industry and energy organizations from around the world to submit proposals for papers. The deadline for submitting proposals is 1 February 2009. An international scientific committee will then review the proposals.
